Top quality thoroughbreds

Raised for the highest level of racing

A boutique breeding operation

Bred in the heart of the Bluegrass, for the winner's circle

Established in 2009, Clearsky Farms breeds and raises thoroughbreds across 267 acres of prime limestone pasture in Fayette County, just north of Lexington, Kentucky — the beating heart of the American thoroughbred industry.

Ours is a commercial enterprise built on patience and horsemanship. We stand a select band of roughly thirty broodmares, and each foal is raised with the care and conditioning it takes to reach the sales ring at North America's major auction houses — and, ultimately, the highest level of racing. Clearsky-bred runners have gone on to win at the very top of the sport, from the Breeders' Cup to the Dubai World Cup.

Room to grow, in the country that grew the breed

Rolling limestone pasture, black plank fences, and old stone gatework — the land itself does much of the raising here. See more of Clearsky through the seasons.
